love programming
by Francine DuBois

In 2004, a little known law passed requiring
Two hours of "love programming" on television.
While thankfully only mandated in the fall season,
It was still to blame for In Case of Rapture,
A love story set in Heaven. Born-again Christians
Would discover their spouses had not fully given
Themselves to Christ, then in Heaven would meet and
Woo a more glamourous (yet down-to-"Earth") partner.

Unattended cars left on Earth would be used
By amorous teens in the spinoff Repopulating Earth
That aired on "hipper" channels late at night.
