Nora sure can eat a lot of beans
by Hezekiah Allen Taylor

We don't know why this bothers us
but it does, makes us feel
inadequate

Surely, if we tried harder
we could eat more, too

swallow it all down
wash it with water
or bourbon
or milkshakes

Milkshakes and beans
seems like the perfect means
of becoming the eccentric
we so badly want to be.
