"I Have Doughnut in My Hair"
by Francine DuBois

For Barb, who loves the Tilt-A-Whirl just like me

Michael was properly bogged
Down in a greasy sugar hangover
After eating four funnel cakes and
Three grape snowcones.

Two rides on the Tilt-a-Whirl later,
He was adequately queasy.
One ride later, his sister was covered
In his partially digested vices.

"Vomiting is nature's way of saying
Stop," their mother proclaimed. "We
All regurgitate sometimes; it's perfectly
Natural and healthy to throw up. "

This didn't stop the little girl's tears
Or Michael's accident from running into her shoes,
His excesses pooling around her tiny toes
And selfishness squishing when she walked.
