New Version

A Land Bridge.
An Accident.

In order to return the ball.
Away from the world
          Shake it!
But again, this is a sad situation?
My account, but can't seem to get enough of?
Very bad teeth that I feel the pain, but why?
I swallowed a couple of pills, but they don't know why?
     This is not *your* case!
          Shake it!

Go, girl, go!
Sea, in the air.
          Shake it!
The truth is that you never use;
However, the meat, the project of the law;
And it is true about the future, the color blue;
But don't let him tremble.
     You don't mind!
          Shake it!

To the Terrestrial Globe [W.S. Gilbert]

To the Terrestrial Globe
By a Miserable Wretch

ROLL on, thou ball, roll on!
Through pathless realms of space
          Roll on!
What though I’m in a sorry case?
What though I cannot meet my bills?
What though I suffer toothache’s ills?
What though I swallow countless pills?
     Never you mind!
          Roll on!

Roll on, thou ball, roll on!
Through seas of inky air
          Roll on!
It’s true I’ve got no shirts to wear;
It’s true my butcher’s bill is due;
It’s true my prospects all look blue;
But don’t let that unsettle you.
     Never you mind!
          Roll on!
               (It rolls on.)
